Wyr Knittr™ 
1 spool 30 gauge Gold Artistic Wire (also available in Wyr Paks)
Rounded nose pliers and wire cutters
Gold metallic paper by Canford
Decorative nailheads by JewelCraft
Gold metallic rub-ons by Craf-T Products, Inc.
Mini Pearl seed, gold seed, and flower shaped beads
Unfinished wood frame
Crackle paint medium
Burgundy red and cream craft paints
Sandpaper
Mini Glue Dots by Glue Dots International LLC
INSTRUCTIONS
1. “Knit” gold wire
tube and add pearl seed beads about every 5th turn. Create four
separate lengths (2 of each side) to the desired length of your
frame. Set aside.
2. Paint frame with burgundy red paint. When dry, apply crackle
medium as directed and then apply cream paint over to create the
crackled effect.
3. When paint has completely dried, sand the edges to create a “Shabby
Chic” look. Apply metallic rub-on product to edges with your
finger to add a subtle, rich effect.
4. Attach gold wire and pearl tubes to frame with decorative nailheads,
making sure prongs of nailheads go through several strands of wire
tubes for a secure attachment.
5. Add decorative flower beads at corners with mini Glue Dot and
place gold seed bead in center with another Glue Dot to hide the
bead holes.
6. Mat photo with gold metallic paper and place inside frame to
finish project. |
