In Stockinette stitch with KP #2, 17 sts and 23 rows = 4”/10 cm

NEEDLES REQUIRED 76 (84, 94, 102, 110)
BACK
- Using WY, CO 76 (84, 94, 102, 110) sts. K 6 R. Break off. Change to MY. COR. RC=000.
- Hem: K to RC=012. Hang first row of MY sts onto ndls. K 1 R slowly. Reset RC to 000.
- K to RC=78 (76, 74, 70, 74).
- Shape Armholes: BO 4 (4, 5, 5, 6) sts beg next 2 R. Dec 1 st each side EOR 5 (7, 9, 11, 12) times -- 58 (62, 66, 70, 74) sts. RC=90 (92, 94, 94, 100).
- K to RC=122 (122, 123, 122, 126).
- Shape Shoulders: BO 6 (7, 8, 6, 6) sts beg next 2 (2, 4, 6, 4) R, then 7 (8, 0, 0, 7) sts beg next 2 (2, 0, 0, 2) R -- 32 (32, 34, 34, 36) sts. RC=126 (126, 127, 128, 132).
- BO rem sts for Back neck.
FRONT
- Using WY, CO 39 (43, 48, 52, 56) sts. K 6 R. Break off. Change to MY. COR. RC=000.
- Hem: K to RC=012. Hang first row of MY sts onto ndls. K 1 R slowly. Reset RC to 000.
- K to RC=56 (56, 56, 56, 60).
- Shape Neckline: Dec 1 st at neck edge of next R, then every 3 R 1 (1, 3, 3, 9) time(s), then every 4 R 15 (15, 14, 14, 9) times. AT SAME TIME
- Shape Armhole: At RC=78 (76, 74, 70, 74) shape armhole on right side as for Back and cont to RC=122 (122, 123, 122, 126).
- Shape Shoulder: BO as for Back -- 13 (15, 16, 18, 19) sts. RC=126 (126, 127, 128, 132).
- Make a second front with reverse shaping.
SLEEVES
- Using WY, CO 50 (54, 58, 62, 64) sts. K 6 R. Break off. Change to MY. COR. RC=000.
- Hem: K to RC=012. Hang first row of MY sts onto ndls. K 1 R slowly. Reset RC to 000.
- K to RC=032. Inc 1 st ea side 0 (1, 1, 0, 1) times
- K to RC=64.
- Shape Cap: BO 4 (4, 5, 5, 6) sts beg next 2 R. Dec 1 st each side EOR 5 (15, 7, 8, 8) times, then every 3 (0, 3, 3, 3) R 4 (0, 2, 2, 2) times, then EOR 4 (0, 7, 7, 7) times - 16 (18, 18, 18, 20) sts. RC=96 (96, 100, 102, 102).
- BO loosely.
FINISHING
- Sew shoulder seams. Sew sleeve tops to armholes. Sew side and sleeve seams.
- Add 2 rows of sc around front opening to add body for ruffle attachment (see photo).
- Using yarn needle, weave in ends.
- Measure front opening and cut or tear fabric into 3 ½" strips allowing 2 times the measured length for gathering. Seam ends to make one continuous strip.
- Follow technique instructions from *. Note: Ruffle is tacked approx ½" from edge. See photo.
