Shrug measures approximately 13"/30 cm wide by 54"/137 cm long

MATERIALS
Ultimate Sweater Machine®
Caron International's Glimmer™ (85% acrylic, 15% polyester; 1.76 oz/50 g, 49 yds/45 m): #0008 Apple, 4 balls

GAUGE
Using KP 3.5: 11 sts & 17 rows = 4”

NEEDLES REQUIRED: 74 (86, 92)

SHRUG

1. Bring forward 54 needles, then push back every other needle:  27 needles in HP.
2. Closed-edge cast on these 27 sts.
3. Knit 21 rows.  .
4. Cont knitting, increasing 1 st each end at row 21, 42, 64, and 85:  35 sts.  RC = 85. 
5. Knit til RC = 115.  Place marker at each end to mark center back.  RC = 0.
6. Knit 30 R. 
7. Dec 1 st each end at row 30, 51, 72 and 93: 27 sts. RC = 93. 
8. Knit to RC = 114. Total 228 rows and 28 sts BO using backstitch.

FINISHING:
Fold shrug in half lengthwise.  Measure up 12” from each end, pin sides together and sew from cuff to pin.
