TENSION
Use Keyplate 3 to give 17 sts and 22 rows to 10cm measured over stocking stitch.

JACKET
BACK
Using the closed edge cast on method and M, cast on 81 (85, 87, 91, 95) sts. *Using Classic KP 2 or Elite KP 6, k 10 rows ending with COR. Ladder down every alt st and convert to rib using the latchet tool. Inc 1 st at left edge **. 82 (86, 88, 92, 96) sts. Change to Classic KP 3 or Elite KP 7 and cont throughout in stripes of 10 rows M, 2 rows A. K 4 rows. Using the 3 st transfer tool, dec 1 st fully fashioned at both ends of the next and every foll 6th (6th, 7th, 7th, 7th) row until 64 (68, 72, 76, 80) sts rem. K 3(3, 2, 2, 2) rows ending with COR. Mark each end of last row with a length of WY.K 2 rows. Using the 3 st transfer tool, inc 1 st at both ends of the next and every foll 3rd row until there are 82 (86, 88, 92, 96) sts. K 19 (21, 24, 26, 26) rows without shaping, ending with COR.
Shape Armholes
Cast of 5 (6, 6, 7, 8) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st at both ends of next 3 rows hen dec 1 st at both ends of the foll 2 alt rows. 62 (64, 66, 68, 70) sts rem. K 37 (37, 39, 39, 41) rows ending with COR.
Shape Shoulders
Cast off 18 (19, 19, 20, 20) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Cast off rem 26 (26, 28, 28, 30) sts.
LEFT FRONT
Using the closed edge cast on method and M, cast on 8 (10, 11, 13, 15) sts starting with the 20th (22nd, 24th, 26th, 28th) needle on left of center. COR.Using Classic KP 3 or Elite KP 7, work throughout in stripe sequence as for Back. K 2 rows. Cast on 4 sts at beg of next and the foll alt row. Cast on 2 sts at beg of the 5 foll alt rows then inc 1 st at beg of the 13 foll alt rows. AT THE SAME TIME, dec 1 st fully fashioned at left edge on the 5th and then every foll 6th (6th, 7th, 7th, 7th) row until 30 (32, 35, 37, 38) sts rem. K 3 (3, 2, 2, 2) rows without shaping ending with COR. Place a WY marker at both ends of last row.K 2 rows. Inc 1 st fully fashioned at left edge on next and every foll 3rd row until there are 39 (41, 43, 45, 46) sts. K 11 (11, 14, 14, 14) rows without shaping ending with COR.
Shape Neck
Dec 1 st at beg of next and every foll 4th row until 36 (38, 40, 41, 42) sts rem. K 0 (2, 2, 0, 0) rows ending with COL.
Shape Armhole
Cont to dec at neck edge on every 4th row as before, AT THE SAME TIME, cast off 5 (6, 6, 7, 8) sts at beg of next row, then dec 1 st at armhole edge on next 3 rows, then dec 1 st at armhole edge on foll 2 alt rows. Now keep armhole edge straight, but cont to dec at neck edge only on every 4th row until 18 (19, 19, 20, 20) sts rem. K 13 (15, 13, 11, 13) rows without shaping. Cast off.
RIGHT FRONT
Work as for Left Front reversing all shaping and needle position at start.
SLEEVES
Using the closed edge cast on method and M, cast on 43 (45, 47, 49, 51) sts. Work as for Back from * to **. 44 (46, 48, 50, 52) sts. Change to Classic KP 3 or Elite KP 7 and cont in stripe sequence as for back starting with 8 (6, 8, 6, 8)rows M before first stripe in A. AT THE SAME TIME, inc 1 st at both ends of the 7th and then every foll 7th (7th, 8th, 8th, 7th) row until there are 66 (68, 70, 72, 76) sts. K 11 (11, 3, 3, 8) rows without shaping ending with COR.
Shape Top
Cast off 5 (6, 6, 7, 8) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st at both ends of the next 3 rows. Dec 1 st at both ends of every foll alt row until 30 sts rem. Dec 1 st at both ends of every row until 16 sts rem. Cast off.
BUTTON BAND AND LEFT LAPEL
Join both shoulder seams. With pins, mark 9cm down from shoulder seams on Fronts. Using 3 3/4mm needles and M, cast on 11 sts and work in k1, p1, rib until band fits neatly around Left Front edge to beg of neck shaping.Now, inc 1 st at beg of next and every foll alt row until there are 21 sts. Cont without shaping until lapel fits loosely to pin on Left Front. Cast off in rib.Sew neatly in place, with shaped edge of lapel to neck edge. With pins, mark the position of 4 buttons, the first at end of lower edge shaping, the last at beg of neck shaping, and the rem 2 spaced evenly between.
BUTTON BAND AND RIGHT LAPEL
Work as for Button Band and Left Lapel, making buttonholes to correspond with position of buttons as folls on right side rows:
1st row: Rib 5, cast off 2, rib to end.
2nd row: Rib 4, cast on 2, rib to end.Sew neatly in place.
COLLAR
With 3 3/4mm needles and M, cast on 37 (37, 39, 39, 41) sts and work 1 row in k1, p1, rib. Cast on 4 sts at beg of next 10 rows. 77 (77, 79, 79, 81) sts. Place a WY marker at each end of last row. Inc 1 st at both ends of next and the 5 foll alt rows. 89 (89, 91, 91, 93) sts. Work 8 rows without shaping. Cast off loosely in rib.
MOCK POCKET FLAPS
Using 3 3/4mm needles and M, cast on 25 sts and work in k1, p1, for 3 cm. Cast off in rib.
TO MAKE UP
Sew cast on edges of collar to neck edge, with WY markers matching pins on Fronts. Sew shaped edges of collar to top of lapels. Neatly sew pocket flaps to centre of each Front, level with WY markers at waist. Sew in sleeves with centre at shoulder seam and easing to fit. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes.
