FINISHING

  • Remove marking threads.
  • Weave in ends.
  • Block lightly to size.
  • Mark 9 (10, 12, 13) rows on both sides of center back mark for back neck opening.
  • Seam fronts to back along shoulders, easing as necessary and stopping fronts at back neck markings. (NOTE: Do not close casing openings.)
  • Measure desired arm length to determine amount of cuff turn back. Seam underarms so that cuff turn back has a hidden seam. (NOTE: 3" is allowed but cuff can be turned to any length.)
  • Tack cuff in place. Using Embellish Knit, make two 24" cords and tack to top of cuffs making a loop design at top seam, if desired. See picture.
  • Using Embellish Knit, make a 70" cord for casing. Using safety pin, thread cord through casings. Even cord out and tack in place to back neckline, adding a loop design if desired.
  • Work 1 R sc around bottom back and sides of jacket. Add a second row to back to prevent curling.
  • Optional: Gather up casing and add beads to be used to hold gathers in place.
