In Stockinette stitch using KP#2, 18 sts and 25 rows = 4”/10 cm

Drop stitch (see instructions) Stitch dropped down after knitting completed.

SKIRT FRONT & BACK
Thread 14 (16, 18) beads on yarn before starting. Beads are decorative and give hemline weight to prevent curling.
- Skirt Bottom Back: Using, KP#2 and e-wrap CO Method, CO 74 (84, 94) sts. Optional: place a bead before every 5th ndl. COR. RC=000.
- K to RC=076 (081, 086).
- Drop down every 5th st to beg CO row.
- Skirt Top Back: Lift up the purl bumps under the adjacent ndls to the left and put them on the empty ndls. Cont to RC=100 (106, 112).
- Skirt Shaping: Dec 1 st ea side next R and every 20 (8, 6) R 2 (5, 7) times – 68 (72, 78) sts. K to RC=157 (163, 169).
- Waistline Casing: Place markers at ends of R. K 7 R and convert last R to purl (for turning row). K 6 R. Using transfer tool, lift sts from beg waistline row onto ndls. K 1 R slowly.
- BO loosely in Back st.
- Skirt Front: Make second piece for Front.
FINISHING
- Block knitted pieces to measurements. Steam hem lightly.
- Sew one skirt side seam. Measure your waist and cut a piece of elastic ½ ” larger. Thread elastic through casing overlapping ½”. Secure overlapped ends. Sew rem side seam.
Optional: Using Fabulous, make a 28” cord for smaller decoration and a 42” cord for larger decoration (extra cord is allowed for unraveling to desired size). Pin in place on skirt foll illustration and tack with needle and thread. Add rem beads if desired.
